Digital Power Systems Engineer

An overview of your future role at BBA
- Carry out engineering projects based on IEC 61850 standards for digital power systems
- Play various roles, such as project leader and proposal leader
- Prepare competitive and value-added proposals
- Design protection diagrams (logic and control diagrams)
- Design substation HMI/SCADA architecture and configuration
- Configure smart electronic devices (relays, substation controllers, etc.)
- Direct testing at BBA’s digital power systems lab
- Commission digital power systems

Overview of Certifications and Job Requirements
- University degree in engineering
- Five years of experience or more in the power systems sector
- Available to travel to BBA's office across Canada
- Available for short- and long-term assignments at client sites across Canada
- Advanced level of French and English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients inside and outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
- Knowledge of substation technology
- Knowledge of how to configure protection relays
- Asset: knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard
- Asset: Knowledge of how to configure HMI/SCADA systems
- Asset: Knowledge of test equipment for protection relays
- Asset: Graduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field

BBA considers many factors when determining the annual base salary, including location, market, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications and other relevant skills.
