Electronics Repair Technician - AV LED
Role description
Overview:This position performs repairs to LED modules, maintains LED spare parts inventory, tracks and prepares analytical repair data, and assists the warehouse as needed. This position will work closely with the Service Coordinator and will collaborate with Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations.
Essential Functions:

LED repair responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Soldering diodes to circuit boards, replacing and gluing masks, and waterproofing modules.
Determine the cause of damage and report client-related damage to the Loss Prevention Coordinator and/or corresponding Customer Service Associate.
Collect and maintain analytical data for LED module failure mode and prepare reporting.
Purchase and maintain inventory of LED repair and spare parts.
Coordinate all LED service and repair with OEMs.
Prioritize the release of repaired LED modules to warehouse locations as mandated by demand.
Monitor deliveries and any past-due shipments.
Communicate LED service status to Customer Service and Logistics departments as well as update and maintain internal software systems.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manage their performance.
Identify areas of potential cost reduction
Assist the Accounting Department with Purchase Order/Invoice research as needed
Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned area(s). Conform to the 5S process.

Work Environment:
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and warehouse environments and is regularly exposed to heavy machinery and noise. This role routinely used standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work are required as job duties demand.

No travel is required for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
Basic Soldering skills and related tool knowledge
Basic IPCJ-STD knowledge
Basic IPC-610 knowledge
Basic IPC 7711/7721 knowledge
Basic low-voltage electrical knowledge and wiring abilities
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Technical Service
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Quality Control
Preferred Education and Experience:
1+ years of soldering experience
1+ years of experience in A/V rental industry or related field
2+ years of experience in Technical Service
2+ years of experience in Quality Control
Show site experience
