Job Summary:
We are looking for a System Integration Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in deploying and integrating robotics systems with various sensor modules. The role requires strong proficiency in Linux environments , hardware–software interfacing, and hands‑on support during system deployment. As integration includes physical hardware, this is a hybrid/on‑site position based in Montreal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate robotic systems with sensors (LIDAR, IMU, GPS, cameras, etc.).
- Set up and manage Linux‑based environments for robotic deployments.
- Support on‑site integration, testing, and calibration of robotics systems.
- Work with middleware such as ROS/ROS2 for real‑time sensor communication.
- Identify and resolve hardware‑software interface issues.
- Document integration procedures and deployment configurations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.
- 4 to 6 years in robotics or embedded system integration roles.
- Proficient in Linux (Ubuntu), Bash scripting, and system troubleshooting.
- Experience working with robotic frameworks like ROS/ROS2.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols (CAN, UART, Ethernet).
- Comfortable working on‑site with hardware and field deployments.
Nice to Have:
- Basic Python or C++ for scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
- Exposure to real‑time or embedded systems.
