Role description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Engineer to join our project team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and challenging project cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans to ensure accuracy, cost efficiency, and alignment with project schedules and execution strategies.

You will play a key role in managing and controlling project costs throughout the entire project lifecycle, providing financial insight and supporting effective decision‑making across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, validate, and consolidate project cost estimates and budgets.
- Challenge project teams to develop cost‑effective solutions aligned with project objectives.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project cost control systems and procedures.
- Track project expenditures and analyze cost variances against approved budgets.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses for project stakeholders.
- Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management activities.
- Ensure accurate project budget setup and ongoing cost performance monitoring.
- Manage and verify project invoices and related financial documentation.
- Identify cost risks and support implementation of mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Finance teams, and Commercial teams to ensure financial transparency and project success.
- Support contractual and commercial evaluations from a cost‑management perspective.
- Contribute to risk management and internal control processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance , or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as AACE, PMP, CCE , or equivalent are considered an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Cost Engineering, Project Cost Control, or a similar role.
- Experience within Construction, Engineering, Energy, Offshore, or Oil & Gas industries is preferred. xgiwjmb
- Proven track record of managing project costs throughout the full project lifecycle.
