Tacx is part of Garmin and is a consumer-minded organization where R&D, Engineering, Production, Assembly, and Distribution of indoor cycling trainers is being realized. From Design to creation and from incoming goods to shipping, all is done under one roof in Oegstgeest.
You will work as a Material Planner at our assembly and production location, managing inventory and system processes and adjustments. From receiving to shipping you are responsible for ERP and database-related set-ups and adjustments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory management and improve efficiency in manufacturing and assembly systems, with a strong focus on process improvement and operational excellence.
You will ensure the smooth integration of engineering changes with inventory and production strategies, translating engineering bills of materials into ERP and acting as a bridge between engineering and operations to confirm that changes align with inventory and production processes.
Responsibilities
- System administration: Set up, monitor, and optimize the ERP system (Oracle) to support inventory processes, such as accurate takt times and article set-ups.
- Engineering Change Orders: Bridge between engineering and the factory, ensuring changes align with inventory and production strategies; review and execute inventory actions; plan stock and ensure timely and accurate implementation through strict planning and daily monitoring.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration: Link operational teams, various departments, and management to ensure inventory processes meet operational and strategic goals.
- Review future implementation dates and purchase selects.
- Material Review Board.
- New Product Introductions.
What we expect from you
- You hold a Bachelor’s (HBO) or Vocational (MBO) degree in business studies, logistics, supply chain or operations management.
- Good teamwork, communication, and written skills in English and preferably Dutch.
- Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop recommendations to support operations & planning.
- Basic understanding of ERP and MRP systems within warehouse, manufacturing, receiving, distribution, and service processes.
- Curiosity and a constant desire to learn.
- Proactive mindset with critical thinking, flexibility, attention to detail, and a problem-solving focus.
- Passion for cycling and sports is a plus.
