Second Shift Diesel Technician Job Description Join our team as a Diesel Technician, where you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on yard trucks, focusing on electrical systems, computer diagnostics, and emission systems. Your role will involve welding, fabrication, and maintaining air brake systems while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on yard trucks. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring and battery systems. Conduct computer and emission system repairs. Execute welding and fabrication tasks as needed. Repair and maintain air brake systems. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE. Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics or related field. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Basic computer skills for diagnostics and record-keeping. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. DOT/Medical card certification. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, climbing, kneeling). Must own a complete set of quality hand tools (preferred). Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding experience and familiarity with DPF/DEF systems. Why Work Here?
