We want to hear from you. As a Deep Foundations Welder within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure team, you will work closely with all team members to ensure the coordination and execution of construction activities on large‑scale projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. You will contribute to the productivity and efficiency of our operations and help drive success across our job sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding work on various metal components related to deep foundation activities (piles, rebar cages, temporary structures, equipment, and accessories).
- Read and interpret plans, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Assemble, modify, repair, and install various metal components in accordance with project requirements.
- Perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and preparation of materials prior to welding.
- Inspect the quality of completed welds and make any necessary corrections.
- Work closely with drillers, operators, crane operators, and forepersons to ensure the efficient execution of work activities.
- Participate in the maintenance and inspection of welding tools and equipment.
- Strictly follow health and safety procedures as well as site‑specific regulations.
- Perform any other related duties required to support project operations.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid CCQ competency card.
- Hold a valid CWB certification.
- Hold a valid ASP Construction Health and Safety card.
- Have relevant experience as a Welder in heavy construction, civil infrastructure, or deep foundations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various welding processes commonly used on construction sites.
- Be self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
- Be able to work effectively in a fast‑paced and continuously evolving environment.
- Be available to work variable schedules and travel to different project sites as required.
