Adjunct faculty membersare responsible for delivering curriculum, providing instruction, andperforming student learning assessment. The successful candidate willdemonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional and classroomtechnology to enhance teaching and learning. Courses at WaubonseeCommunity College may be offered in various delivery modes including, but notlimited to, face-to-face, asynchronous online, synchronous online, hybrid, andflex. Waubonsee does not hire fully remote adjunct instructors. Responsibilities: Designing syllabi,lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to meet the establishedcourse description as well as program, course, and college learning outcomesand/or objectives while addressing each student's needs as diverse learners. Meeting all college deadlines for submission of attendance, grades and datacollection for assessment of student learning. Incorporating learning-centered principles and concepts while motivatingstudents to actively participate in their educational experiences. Integrating instructional and classroom technology (if applicable)appropriately and effectively to deliver and enhance teaching and learning. Working collaboratively with professional colleagues to serve the needs ofstudents and the community. Modeling professionalism with excellent communication, presentation, andinterpersonal skills. Minimum Experience Requirements Registered Nurse (RN)with an active Illinois license 4000 hours of nursing experience (2 years) as an RN with 2000 of those hours (1year) in one of the following: (a) Teaching theory in an accredited nursetraining program or BNATP, (b) Providing nursing care, including personal careand ADLs to older or chronically ill adults, or (c) 1 year experience inlong-term care Completed Department-approved Train the Trainer course (BSN exempt, may becompleted immediately upon hire) Provide documentation of 4 CEU's in Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias(this is included in Train the Trainer, BSN are NOT exempt from thisrequirement) Please attach the following documents when applying: Cover Letter-Yes Resume-Yes References-No Transcripts-Yes Position Details req2170 Grant Funded: No Work Schedule: Fall Semester Testing: No Benefits: Click to See Benefits Page Tier 1 rate per load hour: $ 1,121.00 - 1,121.00 IDPH required Train the Trainer course and 4 CEU in Alzheimer's and related dementia training required before beginning instruction.
