Product Development / Simulation Engineer
Role description
Unity Partners is exclusively representing our partner in their search for a:
Senior Simulation & Product Development Engineer | Audio & Hearing Tech | High-Tech R&D
On behalf of our partner, a leading player in high-tech audio and hearing solutions, we are exclusively searching for a Senior Simulation & Product Development Engineer. In this role, you'll work at the limits of what's technically possible, in an environment where simulation, miniaturization, and physics come together.
The Role
As Senior Simulation & Product Development Engineer, you're a key player in our partner's R&D process, with simulation and modeling at the core of your work. You develop and apply simulation models to predict and optimize the behavior of advanced transducers, driving the early phases of product development: from concept to validated technology.
You move fluidly between deep technical modeling and system-level integration, taking ownership of complex development trajectories.
Your responsibilities include:
- Building and running simulation models (FEA, acoustic, multiphysics) to generate and evaluate multiple concepts and solution directions
- Setting up and leading feasibility studies, including simulations, correlation with physical prototypes, and validation testing
- Developing test setups to validate simulation outcomes against real-world measurements
- Analyzing technologies, market developments, and benchmarks through a modeling lens
- Directing or supporting external development partners on simulation and modeling work
- Working within multidisciplinary teams to solve complex R&D challenges using simulation-driven design
Who are we looking for?
- MSc or PhD in Physics, Mechanical, Electronic, or Biomedical Engineering
- 5-7+ years of experience in an R&D or product development environment, with a strong simulation/modeling component
- Hands-on experience with simulation tools (e.g. FEA, acoustic/multiphysics simulation) applied to hardware development, from concept to industrialization
- Experience with miniaturization, sensors, or complex physical systems
- Knowledge of acoustics or loudspeaker design, and experience simulating acoustic behavior, is a strong plus
- Strong analytical mindset, hands-on, able to operate independently
- Clear communicator, able to translate complex simulation results into actionable insights
Why this role?
You'll work in an international, innovative environment where technology is continuously refined down to the micro level, with simulation as a driving force behind that precision. Our partner is known for its strong R&D culture and offers plenty of room for initiative, technical depth, and personal growth.
You'll get the chance to work on products used worldwide that directly contribute to users' quality of life.
