The Role
- Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to support reliable data integration and accessibility.
- Develop and maintain data storage environments and supporting infrastructure.
- Create and enhance data models to improve performance, quality, and usability.
- Manage data extraction processes and integrate new data sources into existing platforms.
- Monitor data availability, system performance, and platform health.
- Build and maintain business-relevant applications that improve stakeholder efficiency.
- Collaborate with central IT teams to ensure alignment on technology and governance.
- Support, train, and mentor junior team members while contributing to the wider data capability of the organisation.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience building and maintaining modern data platforms.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure, Databricks, dbt, Power BI, and Unity Catalog.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with additional scripting experience beneficial.
- Deep understanding of data modelling, database technologies, and data management best practices.
- Experience designing scalable data architectures and data integration solutions.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting and enabling colleagues through training, coaching, or knowledge sharing.
