Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Migration Developer with strong hands-on experience in ETL processes, data migration, SQL scripting, and Azure-based applications . The candidate will work primarily on migration projects involving COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) applications , ensuring accurate, complete, and high-quality data migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute ETL processes for data migration.
- Analyse source and target systems and develop appropriate data migration strategies .
- Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, loading, and reconciliation.
- Identify data quality issues , investigate root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL scripts for data transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Work with Microsoft Azure services and Azure-based applications.
- Support migration activities across development, testing, and production environments.
- Use Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with application teams, architects, business stakeholders, and other technical teams.
- Perform data validation and ensure data integrity following migration.
- Troubleshoot migration failures and resolve technical/data-related issues.
- Create technical documentation covering migration processes, mappings, validations, and results.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL processes .
- Proven experience in data migration concepts and methodologies .
- Senior-level experience in data and migration projects .
- Experience with Azure-based applications , particularly COTS applications.
- Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues .
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps .
- Good understanding of data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cleansing.
- Experience working in Agile environments .
