Role description

Estimator Position General Contractor that has been voted one of the best construction companies to work for in Atlanta. They have repeat clients across the retail and restaurant market. Job Description Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness. Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project details. Research and source materials, labor, and equipment costs to ensure comprehensive estimates. Monitor and maintain project budgets, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project cost estimates and variances. Support bid preparation and participate in client negotiations as needed. Maintain detailed records of estimates, proposals, and project costs for future reference. The Successful Applicant A successful Estimator should have: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques. Experience bidding fast paced retail, restaurant, and commercial projects. Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to provide accurate and reliable estimates. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
