Junior Finance Controller

Role description

A great opportunity for a finance/accounting professional who wants to move beyond traditional financial administration and develop toward a broader Controlling role within an international energy company.

You’ll support the financial administration for the Benelux entities while gradually taking on more responsibility for project controlling, budgets, reporting, contracts, and financial analysis. You’ll work closely with both Finance and Operations and have the opportunity to develop your role as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial administration for the Benelux entities
• Process invoices, bank transactions, AP and AR
• Prepare VAT and ICP returns
• Support month-end and year-end closing
• Monitor project budgets and financial performance
• Support contract and project-related financial activities
• Prepare financial reports and analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting

What They’re Looking For

• HBO-level education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 2–5 years of relevant financial administration experience
• Interest in developing toward controlling/project controlling
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and communicate confidently with the business
• Fluent Dutch and English
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI experience is beneficial
