As part of our Finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth and professionalization of our Benelux organization while working closely with colleagues across Sales, Supply Chain, local management, and the international Finance organization.

Your Role
A broad Financial Controller role with significant responsibility. As Financial Controller Benelux, you will be responsible for ensuring an accurate, complete and timely financial administration while supporting business performance through high-quality financial reporting and analysis.
You will oversee the day-to-day finance operations, coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, prepare reporting for local management and the company’s headquarters, and support budgeting and forecasting processes. In addition, you will actively contribute to strengthening financial processes, internal controls and reporting quality as the Benelux organization continues to grow. The role combines operational finance with financial control and business partnering. You will work closely with the Managing Director, Sales, Supply Chain and the international Finance organization, providing financial insights that support sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes.
- Prepare timely and accurate management reporting and reporting to Headquarters.
- Maintain and review the financial administration and oversee day-to-day accounting activities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
- Manage VAT reporting, inventory accounting and statutory financial reporting.
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Monitor cash flow and support liquidity planning.
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting and internal controls.
- Act as the primary Finance contact for the Benelux organization and collaborate closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations.
Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or a related discipline.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant experience within Finance, Accounting or Financial Control.
- Experience within consumer goods, manufacturing, trading or another product-driven international environment is highly desirable.
- Solid experience with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
- Experience with management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Good knowledge of statutory reporting, VAT, inventory accounting and general accounting principles.
- Experience supporting external audits and working with local accounting and tax requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems (Exact is considered an advantage).
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
