This is a hands‑on finance position with an important role in the continued development of our European finance organisation. Over the coming period, we are bringing more of our financial administration in-house. You will work closely with our Finance Manager Europe to take over existing activities from external parties, establish effective processes and procedures, and help create a reliable and scalable financial administration for the business.

- Performing bank reconciliations and general ledger postings.
- Preparing journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other month‑end adjustments.
- Supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Preparing and supporting VAT/BTW and other statutory reporting requirements across the relevant jurisdictions.
- Managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations between Dolav entities.
- Supporting payment runs, accounts receivable follow‑up and credit control.

- Working directly with external accountants, auditors and local financial advisers, including our partners in France.
- Supporting audits, statutory reporting and internal financial controls.
- Maintaining accurate financial information within our finance systems.
- Assisting the Finance Manager Europe with management reporting, financial analyses and ad‑hoc requests.

An important part of your first months
This position will play a key role in the transition of financial administration from external providers to DOLAV's internal Finance team.
During your first months, we expect you to become familiar with the existing administration, help transfer knowledge and responsibilities into the organisation, and work together with the Finance Manager Europe to introduce clear and efficient processes.
Success in this role means being able to confidently manage financial administration for both the Benelux and France, while creating the structure needed to support our Finance organisation as it continues to develop.

- A proactive and reliable approach: you identify what needs to happen and are comfortable taking ownership.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Finance Manager and colleagues across the organisation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships in an international and multicultural environment.
- Professional fluency in Dutch and English.
An MBO/HBO-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or a comparable field is preferred, although relevant professional experience is equally important to us.

- Experience working with external accountants and auditors.
- Exposure to intercompany accounting.

The person behind the numbers
Technical accounting knowledge matters, but so does the way you work.
We are looking for someone who is accurate, dependable and comfortable taking responsibility. You enjoy creating order, understand the importance of strong financial controls and do not hesitate to improve a process when you see a better way of doing things.
You will be joining a small international environment, so being approachable and easy to work with is equally important. You should be comfortable communicating with colleagues and external partners across different countries and cultures while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
What we offer
- A broad accounting role covering Benelux and France, with potential exposure to other European Dolav entities as our Finance organisation develops.
- Direct collaboration with the Finance Manager Europe.
- The opportunity to have a meaningful impact on how our European financial administration is structured and managed.
- Exposure to cross‑border accounting, international stakeholders and group‑level finance activities.
- An initial six‑month contract, with the intention to move to a permanent employment contract following a successful first period.
- An office‑based onboarding period so you can become fully embedded in the business and financial processes, with the possibility of greater flexibility once you are established in the role.
