Learning Consultant
Role description
At Précon Consulting Group, we believe that learning is only truly valuable when it helps both people and organizations move forward. That’s why we develop learning solutions that not only transfer knowledge but also change behavior and make an impact. We work in the food and non-food sectors and focus on topics such as quality, safety, and sustainability. We help organizations develop their employees’ competencies so they can immediately apply their knowledge and skills in their daily work. We do this with learning solutions tailored to real-world practice: from interactive e-learning and in-person training to comprehensive blended learning programs.
Our clients have relied on us as their learning partner for years. At the same time, we are ambitious: we want to further innovate our offerings, explore new markets, and further strengthen our position. That’s why we’re looking for a Learning Consultant who not only has strong subject matter expertise but also wants to help drive Précon’s growth and development.
What is your challenge?
As a Learning Consultant, you’re at the intersection of client needs and learning solutions. You’re an advisor, project leader, and sounding board. The question a client asks is rarely the one that needs to be answered. Your value lies in the difference between the two: you identify what’s really going on and translate that into a solution that works in the real world.
Your role in practice:
- Advise clients in the Netherlands and Belgium on learning, competency development, and knowledge transfer. You’ll step into the exciting world of organizations facing challenges in the areas of quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Develop and facilitate learning programs: in-person, online, and on-the-job. You determine which format best serves the learning objective, rather than the other way around. Content, teaching methods, and real-world practice must align—that’s where your expertise comes into play.
- Take the lead on development projects, from initial assessment to implementation. You’ll monitor the scope, schedule, and quality, and ensure that our services and products align with the learning objectives agreed upon with the client—even when real-world circumstances call for a different approach along the way.
- Work alongside colleagues from various disciplines—trainers, consultants, e-learning developers, and multimedia designers. Together, we develop learning solutions that truly make a difference for our clients.
- Build long-term client relationships. You’ll work with a diverse portfolio, ranging from small and medium-sized businesses to large corporations. You’ll maintain existing relationships, collaborate on ways for these organizations to strengthen their learning culture, and identify areas where we can make a greater impact.
- Identify market trends and contribute to the development of new products and services. In doing so, you’ll explore how new technology—and AI in particular—can make learning smarter, more efficient, and more effective.
Who are you?
You’re curious, enterprising, and have the ambition to create something great together with your colleagues. You’re energized by improving learning solutions, see opportunities in the market, and aren’t afraid to propose new ideas.
You don’t have to know everything just yet. What’s more important to us is that you take ownership, are eager to learn, and want to work with us to build a learning business that stands out in the market.
In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:
- You have relevant work experience in Learning & Development, education, training, or process improvement;
- You enjoy interacting with clients and are eager to work with them to find a learning solution that truly fits their needs;
- You are creative and come up with solutions that align with the client’s day-to-day operations;
- You have an eye for quality, safety, and sustainability, and you enjoy learning more about these topics;
- You are naturally entrepreneurial and actively seek out opportunities for collaboration;
- You set high standards for yourself and are committed to continuously developing both yourself and the team;
- Experience with AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar applications, is a plus.
At Précon, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact—not only with our clients, but also within our own organization. We believe that the best ideas emerge when people are given responsibility, challenge one another, and continue to learn together.
You’ll be joining an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team where sharing knowledge comes naturally. We combine subject matter expertise with creativity and innovation. You’ll be assigned a mentor, have plenty of opportunities for professional development, and plenty of freedom to pursue your own initiatives.
In addition, we offer:
- A competitive salary and excellent benefits;
- a laptop, a phone, and a good mobility plan;
- a workweek of 32 to 40 hours;
- A hybrid work environment at our offices in Bunnik and Antwerp, both within walking distance of the train station;
- A B Corp organization where everyone is welcome and personal development is a top priority.
