Job Requirements

2+ years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience required

BSN required

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania or compact eligibility, as applicable

Travel nursing experience preferred

Ability to work in a high-acuity acute care and step-down environment

Strong cardiac, telemetry, and progressive care nursing skills preferred

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to individuals requiring progressive care, step-down monitoring, and treatment

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans

Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition, escalating concerns as appropriate

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with provider orders and clinical standards

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care

Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge needs

Maintain compliance with unit protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
