Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
IV insulin protocols
Blood administration
Central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and IV starts
Heparin protocols and PCA pumps
Chest tube management
Oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
Isolation precautions
Wound care and wound vacs
Preferred Skills:
Cardiac telemetry
Rapid Response Team experience
Feeding tube care
Renal failure patients
Stroke (CVA) care
Orthopedic trauma and joint replacements
Surgical drains
Tracheostomy care
Patient Population:
Medical patients with pulmonary, cardiac, neurological, renal, wound care, and urology diagnoses.
