Requirements & Qualifications

Active RN license (Labor & Delivery specialty preferred)

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every third weekend (night shift L&D RN)

Completion of all required onboarding health screenings and documentation

Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in the Birth Center (Labor & Delivery)

Monitor maternal and fetal status, utilize electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), administer medications, and assist with labor and delivery procedures

Support peri-partum and immediate postpartum care, including maternal-newborn assessments, stabilization, and neonatal resuscitation support as needed

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes (team-based care)

Accurately document care in the electronic medical record (EMR) and maintain clear communication during handoffs

Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and discharge planning guidance for new parents
