Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized care for patients in a high-acuity ICU setting specializing in trauma, neuro, and cardiovascular cases. The role requires managing complex patient conditions within a Level 1 trauma center, and candidates must demonstrate proficiency in neuro or cardiovascular ICU experience.
Job Details
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience including neuro or cardiovascular ICU experience.
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include providing care for trauma, neuro, CV, and other critical patients, interpreting own telemetry strips, and floating between three ICUs as needed.
Experience with ventilators, Bipap, Airvo, and titration of drips such as Propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, morphine, dilaudid, ketamine, rocuronium, vasopressors, and insulin is required.
RN must be available for self-scheduling and may work up to three weekends per month, with potential holiday flexibility.
No additional call or standby shifts required, but occasional low census may occur.
Orientation includes 1-2 days of unit-specific training, with skills validation for trauma, neuro, and specialty devices.
Candidates must be licensed to submit, and the facility's charting system is Cerner.
No facility, hospital, or organization names are included.
