Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated

Registered Nurse (RN)

with experience in Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care to join a high-acuity cardiac unit. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
Care for patients with advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, acute coronary syndrome, and pre- and post-cardiac surgery needs.
Administer medications, treatments, and cardiac therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly respond to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families regarding disease management, medications, and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Adhere to all patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum

1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care, or comparable acute care nursing experience .
Strong cardiac assessment and rhythm interpretation skills.
Successful completion of a proctored rhythm interpretation exam.
Experience caring for high-acuity cardiac patients preferred.
Required Certifications

Active Tennessee RN License or Compact RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
