Schedule:

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend coverage required as needed. Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts. 12-hour orientation provided.
Highlights:

13-week travel assignment at a 407-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
Work in a 27-bed Medical ICU caring for medical cardiac, surgical cardiac, open heart recovery, neuro intervention, stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, and spinal cord injury patients
Daily census of 21 patients with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, lift teams, and more
Epic charting system with specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT, Impella, and targeted temperature management technology
Free parking provided with scrubs supplied by the facility
May float to similar units within scope as needed to meet operational needs
Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required (must be in hand for immediate consideration; pending licenses accepted for submission with 10-12 week processing time)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; previous travel experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred
Epic charting experience required
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, continuous IV sedation, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
