Job Requirements

Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required prior to travel

Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at time of submission (Ohio travel nursing applicants preferred)

American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications (active, not pending)

Recent (within last 6 months) experience with Epic charting system / Epic EHR

At least one recent (past 12 months) reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in the specialty

Ability to work at least every other holiday during the assignment

Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (cardiac telemetry competence required)

COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, perform ECG rhythm recognition, and respond to acute changes in patient condition

Administer medications safely, complete safeMedicate assessments, and follow hospital medication policies

Document patient care accurately and timely using Epic EHR / Epic charting

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to optimize patient outcomes

Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and required competencies for travel nurses

Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures and uphold professional nursing standards

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication with patients and families
