Supply Chain Specialist
Role description
As Supply Chain Specialist, you play a key role in keeping our business moving. You make sure goods and services are sourced with the right balance of cost, quality, continuity, and service. You manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and solve complex operational challenges with confidence. At the same time, you help improve the way we work across sourcing, planning, systems, and data. With a sharp eye for detail and a practical mindset, you turn business needs into smart solutions that support both day-to-day operations and long-term goals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Source goods and services with the right balance of cost, quality, continuity, and availability, in close collaboration with the Product Development team.
- Manage supplier relationships and lead negotiations on commercial and operational terms.
- Turn business needs into practical sourcing plans and supplier solutions.
- Own the sourcing and coordination of Special projects. Ensuring that these are sourced and managed successfully from start to finish.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead supplier reviews, and drive improvement actions. Together with Product Development, you will define how supplier performance will be monitored, including quality metrics and potential supplier audits.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and supply chain requirements by establishing, documenting, and maintaining procurement processes and policies.
- Resolve supplier issues with a structured and solution-focused approach as part of the Product Improvement Process (PIP).
- Keep contracts, approvals, supplier files, and system data accurate and up to date, including master data maintenance.
- Provide clear reporting and insights on cost, service, risk, supplier performance, and continuous improvement opportunities
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or supplier management
- Confidence in managing suppliers and leading commercial discussions
- A structured and hands-on way of working
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into practical actions
- A proactive mindset and a natural sense of ownership
- Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across teams
- Attention to detail, especially when it comes to documentation, compliance, and data quality
- Fluent in English, and Dutch is a plus.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the drive to make things work better every day
- You live in or near Breda within 30 km.
