Senior Planning Engineer (S)
As Senior Planning Engineer, you are responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project execution. This involves collaboration with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to align project timelines and resources.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee detailed project schedules using project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary project data and milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare regular progress reports, including schedule updates, earned value analysis, and performance metrics.
- Analyze project trends and provide forecasts to support decision‑making.
- Lead planning meetings and workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Mentor junior Planning Engineers and support their development.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in project planning within the oil and gas sector.
- Proficiency in project management software, preferably Primavera P6.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
