Senior Financial Analyst (18 Month Contract)

Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for an 18‑month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and managing the general ledger in compliance with IFRS.
• Preparing detailed financial analysis of results.
• Conducting detailed review of accurate, complete and approved internal management‑based financial reporting under IFRS for ad‑hoc reporting and consistency with corporate policies and standards.
• Preparing and reviewing income and indirect tax provisions and tax returns.

Qualifications

• CPA or close to designation.
• Strong understanding of IFRS.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Tax experience is an asset.
• Insurance industry experience is an asset.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and work with large data sets.
• Experience with Oracle and Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Pay Rate

$45.00 per hour.

Location Requirement

You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada.
