As a Principal Technical Recruiter, you'll foster a strong team culture and make a significant impact by expanding our critical Product and Engineering teams , helping us build world-class technology and deliver on our mission. This role reports directly to the Recruiting Lead for Product/Engineering and Core. Role Objectives: Develop and implement world-class recruitment strategies specifically for a diverse range of complex technical roles (e.g., Software Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, DevOps, Security, etc.), collaborating closely with hiring teams to make data-driven decisions. Build long-term relationships with top technical talent in the Austin and wider US tech market, guiding them through a remarkable end-to-end recruitment experience. Ensure all candidates have a positive recruitment experience, creating a robust talent network for future technical and leadership opportunities. Innovate sourcing techniques to attract top technical professionals, specifically tailored to the competitive Austin tech landscape. Work with the Employer Brand and Marketing team to execute recruitment marketing campaigns and events targeting relevant technical communities. Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to support their growth initiatives, including talent mapping, competitor analysis, and compensation benchmarking for key technical roles. Utilize data to identify and address hiring challenges within technical functions, optimizing processes for global scalability and efficiency. Collaborate with the wider People team to ensure a seamless employee experience from recruitment through onboarding. Mentor or manage a small team of junior recruiters or sourcers, sharing best practices, providing guidance, and helping to develop their skills and careers. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of experience as an in-house Technical Recruiter with a successful track record in recruiting for a broad range of Product and Engineering functions (e.g., Software Engineers across various levels/languages, Product Managers, Data Scientists), ideally within a high-growth, technology-focused environment. Demonstrated expertise in strategic technical sourcing and attracting top-tier engineering talent, with a passion for creative solutions tailored to highly competitive markets. Ability to look beyond technical skills to identify candidates who align with our company's culture and values. A strong self-starter who flourishes in a fast-paced environment and takes initiative to drive results. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and highly adaptable to organizational or market changes. Creative problem solver who enjoys tackling challenging roles and learning new technical disciplines. Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging with technical leaders and individuals at all levels across the organization.
