In-Home Caregiver – Private Home – AlLa Family
Terms of employment: This full‑time position requires 30–40 hours per week, with flexible or split shift schedules and may require weekend work. French or English language skills are required. Start date is November 1, 2026.
Salary: $17–$21 per hour.
Location: AlLa lives in Hampstead, Quebec. The home is in a residential neighbourhood near schools, parks, and the city bus (#161). The major intersection is Pinedale and Fleet.
Duties
- Provide care and supervision for three children (aged 14, 10 and 8.5 years), one with special needs.
- Supervise children when parents are not at home.
- Organise and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings.
- Disciplines children according to parents' methods.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children; kitchen clean‑up is required.
- Perform general housework including laundry, ironing, and dusting rooms.
Qualifications
- Completed at least a Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
- At least one year of work‑related experience as a caregiver or equivalent training.
- Dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
- Experience working with children with special needs is an asset.
