Opportunity Overview
We are seeking
Gastroenterologists
to provide
hospital-based coverage
in
Lewisburg, Pennsylvania .
This role offers a comprehensive blend of
endoscopic procedures, inpatient consults, and occasional clinic time .
Schedule & Coverage
Start: May 2026
Ongoing assignment
Coverage Pattern:
️
2 weeks per month
️ Monday 7:00 AM Monday 7:00 AM (week-long blocks)
Daily Structure:
️
24-hour call coverage
️
8-hour workdays (Mon Fri)
️ Weekend rounding + procedures as needed
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage GI conditions
Perform endoscopic procedures (scheduled mornings):
️ Typically
7:30 AM 12:00 PM (Wed Fri, occasional Mon)
Provide inpatient consults and afternoon rounding
Conduct occasional outpatient clinic visits
Collaborate with anesthesia and care teams
Document care using
Epic EMR
Clinical Environment
Acute care hospital ( 132 beds)
️ Anesthesia support available onsite
Adult patient population (18+)
Balanced mix of procedures + inpatient care
No advanced procedures required (No ERCP / No EUS)
Required Qualifications
MD/DO degree
Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology
Active
Pennsylvania medical license
(or willingness to obtain)
DEA required
Minimum 1+ year of experience

Credentialing timeframe: 90 days (temps available)
