Functional Business Analyst - Business Solutions

Role description

Here's a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you'll be able to do:

• Collect, analyze and document the business needs of the various stakeholders;
• Map current and target processes, then identify gaps and opportunities for improvement;
• Write functional specifications, business rules, acceptance criteria, and use cases;
• Translate business needs into backlog items and ensure traceability in Azure DevOps;
• Perform gap analyses, impact studies and recommendations for solutions;
• Prepare tender documents (RFI/RFP), specifications and evaluation grids;
• Ensure functional understanding of Dynamics 365, Business Central, and Power Platform platforms;
• Design and manage functional tests as well as user acceptance tests (UAT);
• Conduct workshops, demonstrations, trainings and validation sessions with users;
• Support change and ensure post-implementation follow-up in order to promote the adoption of solutions;
• Plan and coordinate analysis activities, track risks and produce progress statuses.

The profile you are looking for is as follows:

• Have senior experience in business analysis;
• Demonstrate an excellent ability to gather, challenge and structure business needs;
• Master process modeling (BPMN or equivalent);
• Have experience in writing functional specifications and requirements management;
• Have knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE/CRM, ERP, Business Central and Power Platform platforms;
• Have experience with Azure DevOps and Agile backlog management;
• Be able to perform impact and fit-gap analyses;
• Have experience with functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and bug management;
• Have strong skills in facilitating workshops and supporting users;
• Demonstrate project coordination, risk management and stakeholder communication skills;
• Experience in preparing RFI/RFP and specifications (an asset);
• Knowledge of integration, data quality and data migration (an asset);
• Experience with Microsoft ecosystem portals and solutions (an asset);
• Experience in change management and super-user training (an asset);
• Demonstrate the ability to manage small and medium-sized initiatives independently (an asset).
