Family Medicine Physician Job Requirements

Board certification in Family Medicine required

Active Michigan medical license required at the time of presentation

At least 1 year of Family Medicine experience required

Experience caring for patients from newborn through geriatric age groups

Comfortable with adult outpatient care, pediatric general outpatient care, and women's health visits

Ability to perform pelvic exams and Pap smears

Ability to interpret EKGs

NPDB self-query completed within the last month required at presentation

Must be local to Michigan

Family Medicine Physician Responsibilities

Provide high-quality primary care coverage in a busy outpatient family medicine setting

See approximately 20 patients per day while maintaining excellent patient communication and efficiency

Deliver comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan, from newborn through geriatric age groups

Perform routine outpatient procedures, including pelvic exams and Pap smears, as part of women's health services

Interpret EKGs and address common primary care needs in a timely manner

Collaborate with clinical support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and an excellent care experience

Document care accurately and efficiently in Cerner
