Lead Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation (junior)
The role involves supporting senior and lead engineers with the design, development and implementation of electrical systems within multidisciplinary engineering projects. It is a junior level entry that balances technical depth with professional growth, providing a clear path to future management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of basic and detailed electrical designs
- Translate specifications and requirements into engineering deliverables
- Support preparation of engineering packages and documentation
- Create and update electrical schematics (e.g. EPLAN), as‑built drawings, technical documentation and reports
- Maintain engineering part data in systems (e.g. Eplan + Teamcenter)
- Analyse technical requirements and specifications
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of design or integration issues
- Contribute to risk and feasibility assessments
- Identify improvement opportunities in designs, engineering processes and data quality
- Support standardisation and reuse of solutions
Qualifications
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- related work experience in the maritime industry
- proficiency with design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD (2D/3D drafting) and mechanical applications (SolidWorks/Solid Edge)
- experience with PLM systems such as Siemens TeamCenter or SAP ERP tools
- fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus
Gross monthly salary between €4,000 and €5,000, plus holiday allowance, commuting allowance, profit‑sharing scheme and a range of benefit options including pension, insurance, and training budget.
