Confined Space Rescue and Attendant

Role description

We are expanding our pool of Confined Space and Rescue personnel and are seeking reliable, safety-focused individuals to join our team on an as-needed basis. Applicants must hold a valid G-Class driver’s licence and have flexible availability to accommodate changing scheduling needs. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the hazards associated with confined space entry, including means of exposure (e.g., inhalation or dermal absorption).
• Recognize signs, symptoms, and consequences of exposure, ensuring timely and appropriate response.
• Maintain effective communication procedures with attendants and alert them to hazardous or prohibited conditions.
• Properly use and understand personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
• Exhibit professionalism, effective communication, and reporting skills.
• Ensure cleanliness of company vehicles and trailers.
• Maintain a clean-shaven appearance.
• Comfortably work in tight spaces and at heights.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation, including daily timesheets.
• Adhere to site-specific rules, policies, and expectations outlined in the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Wear full high-visibility PPE, including safety boots, gloves, glasses, and respirators when required.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: CA$22.00-CA$32.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

• Driver’s licence (required)
• Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
• Standard First Aid Certificate (preferred)
