Community Support Gentle Exercise Facilitator
Role description
Support older adults in their fitness journey as a Gentle Exercise Facilitator at Community Support Connections. This casual position covers Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and North Dumfries, focusing on both in-person and virtual classes.You’ll be part of a compassionate team responsible for leading gentle exercise sessions tailored to the needs of older adults and those with diverse abilities. Your role involves ensuring participant safety and adapting classes to provide an enjoyable experience. Collaborating with community partners, you will help promote a culture of fitness and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct gentle exercise classes in various environments
• Adjust exercise intensity and monitor participant safety
• Provide support when other classes are open
• Promote the program through community outreach
• Ensure compliance with health guidelines for all classes
Requirements:
• Possession of a valid G Driver’s License and a vehicle
• Current First Aid/CPR A Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Background check for vulnerable sectors required
• Proven time management and organizational skills
• Preferred experience with older adults in fitness settings
