Clinical Pharmacist I

Role description

As a Clinical Pharmacist I at MedStar Health, you will deliver patient-centered clinical pharmacy services within a leading not-for-profit health system serving the Maryland–Washington, D.C. region. In this hospital-based role, you will verify, prepare, and dispense medications; perform medication therapy management; and conduct medication reconciliation and safety checks to ensure optimal, evidence-based therapy. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams, you will participate in clinical rounds, provide pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring, support formulary and antimicrobial stewardship efforts, and educate patients and staff on safe medication use. You will document interventions within the electronic health record and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that advance medication safety and clinical outcomes.
