Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Institute is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving the Gainesville community. Our 61,000-square-foot facility features private rooms, a dedicated wing for acquired brain injury and stroke patients, and a state-of-the-art therapy suite with innovative rehabilitation equipment. Our interdisciplinary team provides intensive nursing, physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to help patients recover from stroke, neurological conditions, and other complex injuries.
How you'll contribute

Charge Nurse (RN)
who excels in this role:
Provides clinical leadership and oversight of hospital operations during assigned shifts
Serves as the first line of support for nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensures safe, effective patient care and adherence to nursing standards and rehabilitation philosophy
Coordinates patient admissions, staffing assignments, and unit workflow
Performs and supports accurate patient assessments, interventions, and documentation
Ensures completion and updates of interdisciplinary care plans
Monitors quality indicators (QIs) and supports performance improvement initiatives
Communicates and escalates clinical concerns or unusual occurrences appropriately
Supports staff education, development, and regulatory compliance
Assists with staffing plans, scheduling, and management of nursing resources
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and a degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). Additional requirements include:
Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
ACLS preferred
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in rehabilitation or acute care setting
Demonstrated leadership ability and strong clinical judgment
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Basic computer proficiency required
Schedule
3x12, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
